I’ve never installed heated grips before, but the throttle has a fairly thin walled grip sleeve that slides over the unit. I would think that you could install a grip heater underneath it. The diameter of the grip is fairly large compared to the 7/8 diameter handlebar so I’m not sure if the heating element would go around the entire diameter. I hope this helps.
Frank WYes, you have to remove the grip. It takes a little time to get used to the new throttle. But, it is worth the work. It works very well. p.s. I have arthritis in my thumb and it helped that problem. No pain so I can ride longer
Jerome MI purchased this to go on an 02 Honda Rancher. I would not recommend it unless only yourself will be operating the machine. I removed it after 2 accidents.
William PYes it returns by itself very easily! Since the Handy Throttle works by pushing against the thumb throttle on your machine when you release the handle the spring in your machines thumb throttle will push it back easily.
Very easy to use and saves the fatigue on your thumb.
If you glue it in the right position works great
George GIt replaces your existing grip. It is a fairly large diameter grip, so I put one of those slip on grip sleeves over the top of my left grip so it would be about the same diameter as the new one.
Frank WIt fit my 2009 Honda foreman but returned it because it does not spring back when you release throttle.
skip gAlways double check the dimensions and the product fitments, but bars are pretty standard sizes and this should fit. I have to say I don't recommend the item itself, but your results may vary.
Robert WThis is universal kit, so we cannot guarantee fitment on any machine.
